Inschrijven/Registration MarchMUN

Beste leerlingen,

Op vrijdag 27 maart vindt de tweejaarlijkse MarchMUN weer plaats. Om deze dag zo succesvol mogelijk te laten verlopen, hebben we wat informatie van jullie nodig. Op basis van wat jullie hier invullen, kunnen wij een zo goed mogelijke indeling maken.

In het kort – Wat is MarchMUN (MarchModelUnitedNations)?

Tijdens deze dag gaan jullie in een groep (committee) debatteren over onderwerpen waar de echte Verenigde Naties ook over debatteren. Gedurende de dag worden jullie hier op een leuke manier op voorbereid met als doel om aan het eind van de dag het onderwerp ook echt te kunnen bespreken.

Deze committees zullen bestaan uit ongeveer 25 leerlingen van verschillende klassen, waarbij klas 1, 2, MYP1 en MYP 2 bij elkaar zullen zitten en waarbij klas 3, 4, 5, MYP3, MYP4 en DP1 bij elkaar zullen zitten. Je zit dus niet automatisch bij je klasgenoten.

Wel bestaat de mogelijkheid om als duo te debatteren. Geef dit dan bij de vragenlijst aan. Daarnaast hebben reguliere leerlingen de mogelijkheid om in het Nederlands of Engels te debatteren. TTO-leerlingen en Rivers-leerlingen moeten in het Engels.

Voor leerlingen die al ervaring hebben met Model United Nations bestaat er ook de mogelijkheid om je aan te melden als Chair. Als je dit aankruist, krijg je op een later moment nog meer informatie.

Let op! Schrijf je voor 6 maart in, anders word je ingedeeld door de organisatie.

In short – What is MarchMUN (MarchModelUnitedNations)?

During this day you will debate in a group (committee) about topics that the real United Nations also debates. During the day you will be prepared for this in a fun way with the aim of actually being able to discuss the subject at the end of the day.

These committees will consist of about 25 students from different classes, where classes 1, 2, MYP1 and MYP 2 will sit together and classes 3, 4, 5, MYP3, MYP4 and DP1 will also sit together. This means you are not automatically with your classmates.

However, it is possible to debate as a duo. Please indicate this in the questionnaire. In addition, regular students have the opportunity to debate in Dutch or English. TTO students and Rivers students must be in English.

For students who already have experience with Model United Nations, there is also the possibility to sign up as a Chair. If you tick this, you will receive more information at a later time.

Take note: the registration deadline is March 6. If you are not signed up by that date, you will be assigned a place by the organizers.
